With a heavy heart this is the end of Cinder's Family Blog and the family as we once knew. Hopes will crumble, but hope in God never does. I believe God has a healthier and more beautiful plan for Maylee, Kaleah and I. ~Wendy

Go Vandals! Humanitarian Bowl 2009
Maylee sported her Vandals dress for the 2009 Humanitarian Bowl. The dress was good luck because they won. It was a very exciting game...Daddy's yelling from both disappointing and exciting plays would startle Maylee. Grandpa Dean says she better get used to it.
More Christmas!
After Christmas with Maylee's maternal side, we traveled down to spend time with her paternal side. We did Christmas again with Great Grandma Linda, Grandpa Dean, Grandma Shirley, Uncle Craig, and Tabitha.

Maylee Officially Rolled Over!
Maylee rolled over from her belly to her back for the first time at Grandma Julie's house on Dec. 27th. She immediately started crying so either rolling over startled her or Grandma Julie cheering with excitement did.

Holding Her Bottle On Her Own for the 1st Time
Aunt Kathy was amazed with Maylee's ability to hold her own bottle and really impressed when we told her this was the first time she had ever done it.

Christmas Day!
Maylee's first Christmas was a fun filled day! We woke up to discover that Santa had found us at Grandma Julie and Grandpa Bruce's house. Even Cinder had a few presents and loved to help open ours.
After gift opening at their house we went out to Aunt Connie's house for the extended family gathering (59 people + 2 dogs + Hag the Cat). Both Maylee and Cinder did really well. Cinder enjoyed some time bird hunting out on the farm and Maylee enjoyed being passed around and held by different relatives.

Getting Maylee's First Christmas Tree
We went road hunting for the perfect Christmas tree. We found it on the mountains across from our house. Maylee talked a lot on the way up the mountain and slept on the way back down.
3 Months Old
Maylee is three months old posing with Grandma Julie & Grandpa Bruce in front of their Christmas Tree.
On the Road
Maylee traveled better than Cinder. Cinder whined a lot because she was lonely in the truck canopy. Maylee really began "talking" on this trip. If she wasn't sleeping, she was cooing in the back seat. Occasionally, we had to listen to the shower playing on the CD to keep her calm. Overall, it was a very successful 8+ hr drive to Oregon and back.
Staying at Uncle Kevin's Place
Computer Geeks :-)
Friday and Saturday night after Thanksgiving we stayed in Hillsboro at Kevin's new place. It is a very nice condo he shares with his roommate. Saturday night did not go as well because Maylee did not sleep through the night (2nd time since she started sleeping through the night back in October). We figure it was because she came down with her first cold the next day.
Cinder's Thanksgiving
Cinder's Thanksgiving
Cinder got to meet a new boyfriend Dakota. Dakota is the male dog of Uncle Kevin's roommate's girlfriend. Dakota is only one month older than Cinder. This was the first dog she got to play with that is about her same age. Most dogs Cinder is around are older and don't have the stamina or patience for her activity level. Let's just say it was a good thing Cinder was not in heat and Dakota is fixed. They REALLY enjoyed each other! Cinder also enjoyed playing with Brad and Greg!
Hole in Your Pants
Uncle Pat claims that I embarrassed him by sticking my finger in a hole in the side seam of his jeans that was eye level to me. What can I say...I'm observant. Who wears jeans with a hole in them to meet his girlfriend's extended family? What a schmuck! He has had it out for me ever since his big embarrassing debut in our family. :-)
This has been a joke between us for years...so I wasn't surprised by the diaper he wrote on...

Meeting Relatives on Kev's Side
Maylee met distant cousins on Grandpa Dean's side who also live in the Portland/Vancouver area. She met Jan, Steve, Marlene, Teresa, Greg, and Brad.
