A friend of Maylee's babysitter gave her a jumper toy for Maylee to use when she is over there. We borrowed it this weekend and Maylee had a blast jumping and jumping and jumping. When we are in the basement we can hear her feet jumping off the wood floors. As soon as you put her down in it, she knows just what to do and goes to town! She bounces so much that it is difficult to take a non-blurry picture of her.
With a heavy heart this is the end of Cinder's Family Blog and the family as we once knew. Hopes will crumble, but hope in God never does. I believe God has a healthier and more beautiful plan for Maylee, Kaleah and I. ~Wendy

0 and 1/2 years old!
For Maylee's 6 month birthday she got double ear infections! She did not feel well this week and just wanted to be held all the time. She had difficulty sleeping...the worse nights ever with her. Even as a newborn, we only had to get up with her three or four times in the middle of the night. This week, we were getting up with her about six or seven times a night!
Grandma Julie came up Friday night to help because Kev was out of town. Thank goodness, because I would have been home alone with sick Maylee and sick Cinder. At one point Saturday morning, Grandma Julie was cleaning up Maylee from her blowout and I was dealing with Cinder vomiting outside. Cinder must have gotten into something in the woods that made her vomit for two days. The vet got her on some antibiotic for her stomach infection and anti-vomit and nausea medication.

I Like Rice Cereal!
I started eating rice cereal once a day when I was almost 6 months old. I love it! I like to try to feed myself by grabbing the spoon or bowl.

So Close
Maylee is so close to rolling over from her back to her tummy. She already rolls over from her tummy to her back. When going from her back to her tummy, she gets her legs over but hasn't figured out how to get her arm out of the way to complete the job.

1st Plane Ride
Maylee and I flew to Portland to visit Uncle Kevin & Aunt Shelly. The main purpose of the visit was to get measured for my bridesmaid dress - helping Shelly get one more thing checked off on the wedding-to-do-list. Maylee did really well on the flight, but that will hopefully be the one and only time I have to fly by myself with a baby. It is not fun trying to carry Maylee, diaper bag, pump bag, and car seat with only two arms - not to mention going through security with all of that! I used my Peanut Shell bag wrap to help carry her.
Maylee also really loved the skylights in the Portland Airport. So to top off carrying all that gear, Maylee liked to lean way back to stare at the skylights. That did not make it any easier to carry everything, but she was happy.
This is where Uncle Kevin lives...

5 Months Old!
Maylee likes to play in her bouncy chair with lights, music, and jungle animals.
