Our Two Girls in Diapers!

Cinder usually goes into heat at the end of March.  For Cinder this means she has to wear a doggy diaper or be inside her crate.  Maylee continues to be in love with her dog.  Just seeing Cinder puts a huge smile on her face or causes her to squeal in excitement!  Maylee knows the jingle of Cinder's collar and will look for Cinder as she comes around the corner.  Cinder is so careful when she is around Maylee.
Maylee is thinking..."Don't worry Cinder! I'll will chew you out of your crate!"

I Know My Bottle!

Maylee started holding her bottle by herself a while ago but I finally got around to taking a picture of it.  She definitely knows what her bottle looks like and will not take her eyes off of it until she has it.  We just have to help her tip back.

Maylee's New Friend

Maylee has a new friend who is 5 weeks old - Hadley!  Hadley is the daughter of Drew, one of Kevin's best friends from high school.  Maylee was enamored by little Hadley.  It is hard to imagine that Maylee was that little...time really does go by fast!

Spring Break 2010

We got to visit many relatives on all sides of Maylee's family. On Grandpa Bruce's side we saw Aunt Jean and her kids (Emily and David).  On Grandma Julie's side many relatives joined us for dinner one night.  On Grandpa Dean's side we spent time with Great-Grandma Linda, Aunt Lorraine, and Uncle Mark.  On Grandma Shirley's side Maylee was entertained by Uncle Wes, Aunt Patty and their two cuties (Emma and Sarah).  We also saw Great-Grandpa Emmett and Great-Grandma Helen.  (Hope I got everyone)

I can sit up!

Maylee started sitting on her own at six months old.  Sometimes she will start to lean but will correct herself.  She also likes to move her upper body back and forth like she wants to scoot or dance.  We are proud of her!

I love books!

Maylee likes books a lot!  She likes being read to and likes exploring books on her own.  She also likes to eat them!  So far her books called "Indestructibles" have held up.

Grandpa Bruce & Maylee

Grandpa Bruce took the detour route back home so he could visit me! Yee-haw! Go Cinder, go!

Maylee the Jumping Bean

Maylee loves the jumper that is at her babysitter's house so we decided to get one for our house.  She just loves it and it helps us get more things done.

I love jumping!

A friend of Maylee's babysitter gave her a jumper toy for Maylee to use when she is over there.  We borrowed it this weekend and Maylee had a blast jumping and jumping and jumping.  When we are in the basement we can hear her feet jumping off the wood floors.  As soon as you put her down in it, she knows just what to do and goes to town!  She bounces so much that it is difficult to take a non-blurry picture of her.

0 and 1/2 years old!

For Maylee's 6 month birthday she got double ear infections!  She did not feel well this week and just wanted to be held all the time.  She had difficulty sleeping...the worse nights ever with her.  Even as a newborn, we only had to get up with her three or four times in the middle of the night.  This week, we were getting up with her about six or seven times a night!

Grandma Julie came up Friday night to help because Kev was out of town.  Thank goodness, because I would have been home alone with sick Maylee and sick Cinder.  At one point Saturday morning, Grandma Julie was cleaning up Maylee from her blowout and I was dealing with Cinder vomiting outside.  Cinder must have gotten into something in the woods that made her vomit for two days.  The vet got her on some antibiotic for her stomach infection and anti-vomit and nausea medication.
