Maylee doesn't crawl forward but she is good at pushing herself to slide backward. She can also move in a circle on her belly and roll from tummy to back and back to tummy. When she goes backward sometimes she gets mad because she puts herself farther away from what she wants.
Here she started by the fridge and in about 20 seconds she was under the cabinets by the sink. Cinder is proud!
With a heavy heart this is the end of Cinder's Family Blog and the family as we once knew. Hopes will crumble, but hope in God never does. I believe God has a healthier and more beautiful plan for Maylee, Kaleah and I. ~Wendy

Hand-Me-Downs
Maylee was given hand-me-downs from three of Kev's first cousins. I got the tote out to see if she was ready for the next size of their clothes. I would hold an outfit up to her body to compare the length and every time she would laugh and try to eat it!

Sharing Cinder
Maylee likes to sit by Cinder so she can reach out and touch her. One day after school I set Maylee in her green chair next to Cinder. Then, Cinder got up and brought her large-blue-used-to-squeak-ball back for the two of them to play with.

Sleepy Girl
Maylee was playing on my lap then flopped herself beside me, found her thumb, and went right to sleep.

Mark it on the Calendar
Maylee says - "Unlike Grandpa Dean...Uncle Craig changed two of my diapers while he visited me because my mom and dad were busy. Thanks Uncle Craig!"
Maylee's New Skills
Maylee's latest skills are throwing toys (she is starting to figure out the Pick Up game) and saying "Ahh baa baa baa." It won't be long before she is saying "Ma Ma" or "Da Da."
Playing Ball with Cinder
Ever since Kev's been busy with his baseball team, that has left me to man down the fort until dinner time. This means picking up Maylee from the babysitter's house, letting Cinder out to relieve herself, getting Cinder some exercise, washing pump pieces, feeding Maylee, and making dinner. We like to take Cinder to the field across from our house to play ball for her daily exercise so that she is not tearing up our yard. Maylee is getting so big that she is heavy to hold while playing with Cinder so I prefer to take her over in the stroller. We love our stroller and it goes through the bumps of the field like butter! Maylee still gets excited and squeals when Cinder brings the ball back to us.

Maylee's 1st Easter!
Maylee was so cute for Easter! She was very talkative in church...so much so that Grandma Julie took her to the children's room and then she decided to be quiet while she watched the other kids play.
For Easter, Maylee got a new dress and bow for her hair, her own little Easter Bunny, a little yellow chick basket, and APPLESAUCE! She got to try applesauce for the first time and loved it! (I didn't take any pictures of her first applesauce experience, but her expressions were cute!)

Pirate Maylee
At the end of our Spring Break we went down to Wendy's side of the family to celebrate Easter because Uncle Kevin and Aunt Shelly came over from Portland. Aunt Shelly was working on putting Maylee's pajamas on, but first they decided to play "pirate" with the pajamas.
"Aye Matey!"

Waterpark Again!
We went to the waterpark again over Spring Break. She is a month older than the last time we went (ear infections and busy schedules kept us away for awhile). This time she REALLY enjoyed the yellow baby swings! She can't quite reach the bottom yet with her feet, but she figured out how to turn in them if we put our legs underneath her. It is common to find her fingers in her mouth...not sure when teeth are going to pop through.
