My Favorite Things about Maylee

10. Her love for her dog Cinder
9. How playful she is (peek-a-boo, flirting head tilts, etc.)
8. She's a chatterbox and loves to "sing" and "talk"
7. How she moves (jumpin' bean, boogies when she sits, and scooting & turning on her tummy)

My 1st Mother's Day

My first Mother's Day was very special and Maylee helped pick out flowers for me.

Tree Damage to Our House

Monday, May 3rd we had a crazy wind storm.  Our neighbor sent us a text at school and said the tree in their yard blew over and it took out our house's power lines.  We thought Avista could come and re-hook the lines, but when Avista got there at 10:30pm to take care of the live wires, they said we had to have an electrician repair the damage first.  So, Tuesday morning we got the electrician to fix the damage to the house and then Avista came and we finally got power at 6:00.  Wednesday, Verizon made it out to fix the phone line, but we still have no t.v.  Trying to live in cold house with no power and a baby was not easy, but we survived!  It didn't help that we woke to snow and frost. (P.S. Our neighbors are really nice, but their property manager is being very difficult and rude to everyone over this.)

1st Teeth

Maylee got not one but two teeth on Friday night.  She did not have any symptoms such as fever, drooling, or crankiness.  The teeth were both there Saturday morning!  She loves to feel them with her tongue.

Peek-a-Boo with a 7 month old!

She is just so fun to play with!  She has figured out peek-a-boo and also loves it when you bounce her, tickle her, or blow on her belly!

Yummy Toes!

Maylee's favorite thing to do now when you change her diaper is to play with her toes or try to pull off her socks. She is searching for Toe Jam but can't find any because she just got out of the shower!

Tug with Cinder for the 1st Time

Cinder chews through ropes so Kev gave her some hose that she has yet to destroy.  Cinder likes to play tug with it so she brought it over to Kev so he would play with her.  Maylee was sitting with Kev and grabbed for the hose.  Cinder would tug but it would fly out of Maylee's hands.  It was entertaining for Maylee but Cinder soon realized that Maylee can't play tug yet like Kev does so she decided to watch Maylee play with her hose.

1st Time in Grass

We stopped by Grandma June's old house to see Bob.  It was such as nice day!  Maylee sat in the grass for the first time.

New Trick - Sliding Backward

Maylee doesn't crawl forward but she is good at pushing herself to slide backward.  She can also move in a circle on her belly and roll from tummy to back and back to tummy.  When she goes backward sometimes she gets mad because she puts herself farther away from what she wants.

Here she started by the fridge and in about 20 seconds she was under the cabinets by the sink.  Cinder is proud!

Hand-Me-Downs

Maylee was given hand-me-downs from three of Kev's first cousins.  I got the tote out to see if she was ready for the next size of their clothes.  I would hold an outfit up to her body to compare the length and every time she would laugh and try to eat it!
