Here's Maylee after Great Grandma Doris and Grandma Julie gave her a bath. Then Grandpa Bruce read her a book that evening.
With a heavy heart this is the end of Cinder's Family Blog and the family as we once knew. Hopes will crumble, but hope in God never does. I believe God has a healthier and more beautiful plan for Maylee, Kaleah and I. ~Wendy

Time with Ruth
Maylee is sitting on the lap of her Great-Great-Great Aunt Ruth. She is a "great" one and we really enjoyed our visit!
Maylee scooted backward between the chair and French door. She played with her reflection in the glass while doing her business. Little stinker!

Out on the Farm
I took these nine month pics of Maylee out on Aunt Connie & Uncle Gary's farm. I didn't time it very well between naps, so she didn't have much patience with me. Then to top off her mood, she fell off the straw bale and got really mad. I felt soooo bad!

Cousin Jeff's Wedding
Cousin Jeff got married on his family farm in the barn! It was gorgeous and we had a great time!
Maylee with Cousin Jaxson (6wks younger than Maylee & lives near Seattle)
Playing patty cake in Aunt Vicki's beautiful backyard garden where the reception was.
Cousin Nick sang for the happy couple's 1st Dance
Maylee danced with her daddy (dancing for Kev doesn't happen often). We made ear plugs for her because the music was loud.
Overly tired, but then quickly happy with a toy in her hand.

I love swings!
Cousin Sarah and my mom took me to a park by Grandma Julie's house. I loved it when Sarah pushed me in the swings!
I am praying that this swinging fun never ends!

Maylee's 1st Bike
Craig L. made this bike for Maylee and dropped it off the last week of school. Craig coached football with Kev and we have also gone snowmobiling with him and his great family. The bike is awesome and Maylee loves it! She sits pretty good on it but tries to bounce. Maylee will move her legs from excitement so the bike will roll one or two inches. I'm sure it won't take her long to figure out how to go. She also likes it when I put the bike upside down and she can make the wheels spin around and around. And, of course she also tries to eat it. :-)
I love how she claps when she is excited! Below, she must be checking the engine...
First Family Bike Ride
We have great trails by us and finally had time and nice weather to take our bikes out. We were given the orange kid trailer as a baby gift (one I think we will get lots of use of) but first Kev had to put it together. Cinder loves to chew up cardboard boxes so she would sneak up, grab a piece of cardboard and then run fast to the other side of the wood pile to chew it up. We were laughing pretty hard!
On the trail...Maylee loved the bike ride. We both thought she was going to sleep once we got going but instead she talked and sang to us for the entire 8.5 miles! We rode along the river and also saw a moose (brown spot in the background of the field).
These were taken at the picnic table beside the bike trail while Kev loaded the bikes up.
I just love her smile and happiness!
Riding the Tractor
This tractor belongs to cousins Cole and Finn. They are moving up to Alaska for five years so we stopped by to say goodbye and best wishes!
Maylee & Chicks
We hatched chicks in my classroom this year. It was a learning experience for both the students and I because I had never done it before. We had great success with 17 out of 24 eggs...(I was told hatching 50% was good). The students had a musical performance two weeks after the chicks hatched so I brought Maylee to watch. Kindergartners were supposed to dress as farmers so I dressed Maylee as one too!

Maylee Claps & Knows Her Name!
Maylee learned to clap in Yellowstone. We got her to copy us when we clap, but now she will clap when she is excited or when we say "Yay!" She is also better about looking at you when you say her name.
