With a heavy heart this is the end of Cinder's Family Blog and the family as we once knew. Hopes will crumble, but hope in God never does. I believe God has a healthier and more beautiful plan for Maylee, Kaleah and I. ~Wendy

Oh Christmas Tree!
Maylee was very intrigued by the Christmas tree this year, but she did a really good job about being "soft" with the ornaments. Of course, she had her favorites on the tree and had to find them frequently during each day. She also made her first gingerbread house at her baby sitter's (with help from Alison).

Sledding for the 1st Time
While at Ammie and Papa's house for Thanksgiving we got snow so Maylee got to sled in their side yard and loved it! (even the wipeouts)
Happy Thanksgiving 2010
Uncle Kevin and Aunt Shelly came to Idaho for Thanksgiving so we travelled to celebrate with them at "Papa and Ammie's" House. (Maylee can't say grandpa or grandma. For grandpa she said Papa so that stuck. Since she couldn't say grandma I asked if she could say "grammy" and she replied with "Ammie" so that is my mom's new name.)
Turkey for Maylee!
Maylee decided she needed to take Cinder on a walk. Cinder patiently agreed. :-) Maylee also thought Cinder needed some pillows when she saw that Cinder laid down to sleep.
Maylee was helping read the Day After Thanksgiving sales and deciding where to go shopping. :-)
Yogurt and book time with Uncle Kevin...
Maylee also spent time with cousin Lilly and of course cousins Emma and Sarah had a sleep over since Maylee was in town.

Winter is Here!
Today is Monday before Thanksgiving. We were supposed to have school tomorrow and be off the rest of the week for the holiday, but we have a Snow Day tomorrow because of the storm. We all worked hard before dinner to get caught up with removing the snow we already had in preparation for the next storm. Maylee liked helping up and playing with Cinder and Cinder's new red glowing ball (Cabela's purchase - awesome in snow at night).
Maylee is kicking the ball for Cinder...
Harvest School Display
I usually don't post school stuff on our family blog...but I thought my students did really well on their harvest projects that I put out in the hall. I hated taking it down, but it is time for Christmas/Winter stuff. We also studied healthy foods and the food pyramid. On Tuesday, we worked together to planned a healthy lunch. On Wednesday, we walked to Yoke's, got a tour of the grocery store, and then each kindergartner had to find their grocery item. On Friday, the students took turns cooking part of the lunch with me in the morning so the feast would be ready for lunch in the classroom celebration. (I strategically pick who gets to use knives). The students made vegetable chicken soup, pita sandwiches, quesadillas, fruit salad, veggie platters, and "dirt" pudding. Then half the class dressed up as Pilgrims and the other half as Native Americans before feasting.
