Hiawatha Bike Trail Summer 2012

Maylee and I did the Hiawatha bike trail twice this summer.  Once with a large group (2 uncles, 1 aunt, 3 cousins, and many friends of theirs) and the second time was with our Vancouver, WA cousins.

1st Trip

When you ride the Hiawatha you stop at Lookout Ski Lodge to buy your tickets.  When we pulled up, Maylee knew exactly where she was and said, "There's no snow!  Mom, I forgot my ski boots!" 

She was the first to spot deer on the ski hill while we waited for the rest of the group...

2nd Trip

Luckily, Kev had a day off fighting fires to join us.

Kamiah Visits

Maylee loved helping in Papa Dean's garden and picking berries from Grandma Linda's garden.

4th of July

Maylee and I celebrated the 4th of July with friends since Kev was busy fighting fires in Montana.  It was a big day for Maylee, but she was a trooper and we had a lot of fun!  The next morning, she was still tired from late night fireworks and had a meltdown over bread.  She wanted toast made from the "seed bread," which I didn't have in the cupboard.  I guess I should be glad that she likes healthier bread.

Happy 4th of July!

Beginning of Summer 2012

This summer started with lots of rainy days.  Kev went back to the Forest Service for his 13th season.  We also started a remodel of the two back bedrooms.  This included adding a closet in the master, changing the closet in the guest room (which will become Maylee's new "big girl" room), adding better insulation, and getting rid of baseboard heaters.  

We were driving and out of know where Maylee announced...

"This means ROCK ON DUDE!"

 Maylee happended to see Red Robin when we went to eat at her favorite restaurant!

This was a HUGE deal!

"Cinder wants to dance too." 

Big Day...couldn't finish dinner...

I'm amazed by some of the things she does so when I go to take a picture, 

she likes to lay beside her artwork...

She also loves to have lunch or a snack on her picnic table...

Days at Carol's House 2011-12 School Year

These are in no particular order...just pics that Carol sent me from her phone.

They go on lots of walks and play outside all the time.  

They also make many crafts and go to the library on Wednesdays for Story Time.

These last two pics of Maylee and Ty I took in May 2012...

In May, she was climbing on a stump with a skirt on and slipped. 

The deep scratch went from her panties to her knee.  It took a long for it to heal.
