Family Friends at Our Cabin

Bryan and Lisa shared their family cabin with us, so we invited them down to share our family cabin with them.  We all had a great time and hopefully they come back other summers.

The kids loved the white sand beach.  They usually drive all the way over to the coast to get to sand....the cabin's beach is a shorter trip to get to sand.
Swimming out to the rock...Maylee's first time doing so and she did it by herself!

Floating Cabin on Lake Coeur d' Alene

Our good friends, Bryan, Lisa and their three kids, have a floating house on CdA lake in a quiet, calm bay.  We went there a few times this summer and had a great time!  Maylee loved swimming and trying to dive.  She also had a sleep over at their cabin without me.  This was her first sleep over at a "friend's house" (not a relative's house) when I needed someone to watch Maylee while I went to jury duty.

On a hike...Cinder knew when a kid had her leash.  She didn't pull the kids like she would with me.

Huckleberry Picking

We joined Maylee's sitter and her family to go berry picking.  I gave Maylee her own little container for her berries.  I told her she can eat some, but she should also bring some to me so we can save them for pancakes.  She brought me eight total and probably ate close to two cups!  We picked for hours and every time I looked at her she was eating.  Needless to say, I did not give her any more fruit that night or the next day.  I did give her a lot of cheese and meat so she balance out okay.

Maylee found her own style of picking berries...she liked to eat them right off the branch!
