Father's Day Weekend

Kev returned to his Forest Service fire fighter job so the girls didn't get to see him until Father's Day weekend.  We did garden projects on Saturday.  On Father's Day, Maylee picked going to a park with frozen yogurt as the special thing to do with Dad.
Kaleah's present to Dad was getting her first two teeth on Father's Day morning!
The girls also gave him a travel coffee mug that they painted and put their hand prints on.

Kaleah's MRI

Kaleah's head growth was not following typical trends for two check-ups in a row so the doctor ordered an MRI.  Luckily, the results came back stating everything is okay.  Poor girl has had many extra appointments (inversion procedure for turning breech, ultrasound on her hips for being breech, physical therapy on her tongue, and the MRI.)  We know she will have to have plastic surgery to remove a cyst beside her eye when she is a little older.  After that, we hope we are done with all these extra appointments/procedures.

Visiting Relatives in June

We traveled south again to attend Great Uncle Derrill's 80th birthday.  Uncle Clay from the other side of the family also happened to be visiting in Moscow.

Again, Maylee picked out these dresses at the store so her little sister could match her.
We will see how long she thinks it is cool for Kaleah to dress like her.

Cinder kept sniffing at a spot in Ammie's yard.
She found a divot that baby bunnies were nestled in.  Maylee thought this was cool!

Going to School with Mom

Kevin asked his principal if Maylee could go with him when he took his 7th graders on a hiking field trip.  He wanted motivation for those students who complain about exercising..."Look, my three-year-old is hiking without complaining."   Around that same time, she overheard Kev and I talking about what I was planning for my end of the year kindergarten walking field trips.  On one of those trips, we walk uptown to tour the Post Office, bank, fire station, and library.  Then the fire trucks give us a ride to the park.  We have a picnic lunch and play.  Finally, we walk back to school.  She asked if she could go with me on my field trip.  I told her she would have to ask Tracy (my principal)...which Tracy said "yes."

May Snapshots

Playing at our house in May...

Playing in her bed vs. taking a nap...

Kaleah says, "Go Mariners!" just for Ammie.
Nana Jo and Papa Dean came to visit...

Maylee loves to make movies of herself and then watch them later on my phone...

Maylee's 1st Fishing Trip

She didn't catch any fish but she had a great time and keeps asking to go again.
