August Snapshots

My Cuties in Our Back Yard
Sprinkler On, Clothes Off

Caught eating Thimble Berries

Helping make her own pizza...she was naked a lot this summer.

Not sure what her plan was but she stayed like this for awhile...

Getting Kaleah to swallow food or just to try it has been a challenge all summer.
Finally in August, she decided a small amount of rice cereal was tolerable.
We keep trying because she can't stay on breast milk forever. Now she will let me mix in a little fruit.
This is by far her favorite.  She gobbled it up REALLY fast...Huckleberry Cereal!

Curious About Cinder
She rolled over to Cinder and wanted to hold her paw.

Kaleah is 9 Months Old

This month she has really figured out how to roll to get to where she wants to go.

Maylee the Photographer

Maylee got a hold of my camera and these are her pictures...
I found it interesting to see what she thought of as important to take a picture of.
Kaleah playing...
The zucchini someone at church gave her...
The stitching on her church dress...
 Really?
 Her room...
 Seriously?
 Her "stuffies"

When Dad Comes Home from Fires

These are pictures from the days when Kev got to come home.
This was his 14th season and the busiest yet.  He went on 12+ fires in 11 weeks.
When he did make it home, he worked around the house on projects I can't do
and we planned special dad time.

Tee Ball

Backyard Camping
Kev, Maylee, and Cinder attempted to sleep in the tent.  Both Cinder and Maylee got cold.  Maylee ended up in the sleeping bag with Kev and Cinder on top of them.  So, Kev got kicked by both Maylee and Cinder.  At sunrise, Cinder got them up...way earlier than Kev and Maylee's normal waking time.

Fishing
Maylee caught her first fish! (A massive catfish...wink, wink).
She caught lots of them so Kev called her the Catfish Hunter.
 Another fishing trip...
I took a movie of one of the many she caught.  Maylee watched the fish's mouth and then told me it says, "Put me back in the water."  She also named that fish Figaro Alice.
Some fish weren't going to survive to turn back so she brought them home.
