We came home from our Oregon trip to find that our cherry tree was ripe and ready to be picked. Maylee did a great job helping me pick them. She pulled off cherries that she could reach and then when I had to get the ladder out, she would pick up the ones that I dropped and put them in the bowl. Next, she helped me wash them. Then, I put her down for a nap while I pitted them. I know that she would want to help with that job too but I foresaw stains on her clothes. When she went to bed, I stayed up to make cherry jam. My favorite is the low sugar pectin kind, even though it calls for more berries. I made more than 20 pints and froze four quarts of pitted cherries to use for baking later.
With a heavy heart this is the end of Cinder's Family Blog and the family as we once knew. Hopes will crumble, but hope in God never does. I believe God has a healthier and more beautiful plan for Maylee, Kaleah and I. ~Wendy

Tillamook Cheese Factory
Maylee slept from the beach to Tillamook. Then, she perked right up when she found out there was ice cream inside! (By the way, Maylee and I shared the bowl of ice cream.)
Thanks for the BIG DAY Uncle Kevin and Aunt Shelly!
I loved it!! Love, Maylee
Oregon Coast
After the morning at the aquarium, we had lunch at Mo's seafood restuarant. Then we drove to Aunt Shelly's favorite beach, Pacific City Beach. This was the first nice day in a long time so lots of people were there. We watched many vehicles get stuck in the sand and a tow truck worked all day at the beach. Maylee enjoyed putting her feet in the sand and water. Her favorite thing to do was "throw rocks big water."
Aunt Shelly made Maylee's name in the sand...
Miss Sandy Bums...
Someone made a sand castle that Maylee found interesting because there was a turtle on top...
Making silly faces...
The girls...
And then she just crawled in her stroller and went to sleep...time to go.
Oregon Aquarium
On Saturday, we got up early to drive to the Oregon Aquarium. Aunt Shelly didn't have to work so she joined us!
Watching the river otters...
Maylee's favorite animals at the aquarium were the seals and sea lions. A sea lion swam in circles right in front of her and she had a huge "surprise" face.
Thanks Uncle Kevin and Aunt Shelly for the awesome aquarium experience!

Oregon Zoo
Aunt Shelly had to work so Uncle Kevin took Maylee to the zoo with Wendy and Ammie in tow. The last time Maylee was at the zoo she was 10 months old and she stayed awake and loved it all! We had no doubts that she woud love it again! Only this time she knew many of the animal names and sounds they say.
She kept telling the little bear "No chewing!"
Aunt Shelly's favorite...a cougar!
Maylee happy that she saw the cougar move...
The farm animals...
She liked watching the otter swim and play with the ring...
She said "roar" for all the wild cats...
She liked the zebra and though the giraffes were hugging...
She liked watching the monkeys play and swing around...
Maylee was fascinated the most by the animals that decided to do their business while she was watching (I think this is due to her potty training). When we were petting the goats, she stopped to watch another goat poop. Then, she watched the polar bear back up to the water's edge and drop a stink pickle.
She still talks about how the "polar bear pooped in water."
I love these pictures of her playing at the zoo...
She also got to see the train go by on our way out...
